The verbal dispute between former US President Donald Trump and Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, has intensified again on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This controversy is attracting public attention and sparking widespread discussions. The conflict began when Trump proposed a mere 10-day deadline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine.
This statement generated various opinions in the global media. Following this, Medvedev harshly criticized Trump's demand on social media.
He expressed his views on platform X: “Trump is setting ultimatums against Russia. Sometimes he asks for a 50-day deadline, sometimes 10 days.
However, he must not forget two important points: first, Russia is not Israel or Iran. Second, each new ultimatum increases the risk of war.
This risk is not between Russia and Ukraine, but a threat to his own country.” Trump responded to this criticism on his Truth Social platform.
He referred to Medvedev as “unsuccessful” and advised him to speak more cautiously. According to Trump, India's relationship with Russia is not his concern; they should think about how they are losing their economies.
Most importantly, he advised Medvedev to keep his mouth shut, as he is heading down a dangerous path. In response to Trump's harsh criticisms, Medvedev emphasized that Trump's nervous reaction once again confirms the correctness of Russia's stance.
He wrote on his Telegram channel: “If a few words from the former president provoke a strong nervous response from the current US president, it means Russia is on the right track and the truth is on its side.” Medvedev also drew attention to the nuclear threat in response to Trump's words about a “dead economy.”
He highlighted the danger of Russia's nuclear response system called “Dead Hand,” which allows for an automatic response to a nuclear attack.
These events indicate the likelihood of further escalation in global political relations. The public is closely monitoring the future words and actions of political figures.
