Teenagers in America are consuming caffeinated pouches in large quantities
Recently, the consumption of caffeinated pouches among teenagers in America has significantly increased. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Experts are concerned that this dangerous habit may spread to the United Kingdom and other countries in the near future. These small, tea bag-like pouches are placed between the lip and gum, delivering caffeine directly to the body.

One pouch can contain the same amount of caffeine as two cups of coffee, which can be harmful to health when consumed excessively. On social media, especially on the TikTok platform, some bloggers are presenting this product as beneficial for athletes and students preparing for exams.

According to them, caffeine enhances alertness and reduces fatigue. However, experts emphasize that young people's bodies are very sensitive to caffeine.

Excessive caffeine consumption can lead to serious health issues such as increased heart rate, anxiety, headaches, seizures, and heart rhythm disturbances. According to the European Food Safety Authority, a child weighing 30 kilograms should not consume more than 90 milligrams of caffeine per day.

For this reason, nutritionists recommend obtaining energy through natural methods. A balanced diet, rich in iron and protein, as well as slow-digesting carbohydrates, helps children and teenagers stay alert and active.

Reducing or moderating caffeine intake is crucial for health.
