Admitted to the PhD program in robot theater in China

The robot was developed by Shanghai University of Science and Technology and DroidUp Robotics. Interestingly, Xueba 01 will study the foundations of theater arts, acting skills, and dramaturgy over the next four years.

Additionally, it aims to write scripts and collaborate creatively with human actors. The scientific supervisor of the robot is Professor Yan Sinsin, who believes that this project is not only about the collaboration between a human and a machine but also about aesthetic communication between different beings.

Professor emphasizes that Xueba 01 will engage in a new form of reflection and emotional exchange in art while interacting with its peers. This project is expected to open new opportunities in the fields of art and technology and elevate the relationship between humans and robots to a new level.
