A 40-year-old amateur diver from Fujian province in China went missing for five days while diving, and his survival astonished the public. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The incident occurred on July 19. The man disappeared in the river just five minutes after diving with a friend.
This river has a complex system of underwater caves, with some areas located several tens of meters deep. After the incident, local police and rescuers quickly began search operations.
Professional divers were involved, but the searches conducted over five days yielded no results. As hopes were fading, the searchers accidentally found the missing man during another dive.
He was able to signal using a flashlight and informed the rescuers of his presence. According to the head of the rescue operation, Tian Yanlin, the man had survived in a small pocket filled with air in one of the underwater caves.
Despite the depth, there was enough air to breathe in that location. The survivor stated that he had lived for five days without realizing the time, consuming raw fish to stay alive despite hunger and difficulties.
Most remarkably, after being rescued, he walked independently to the ambulance. Doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory.
This event is worthy of attention as a true story of human willpower, the struggle against nature, and miraculous survival. Although the chances of survival for vulnerable individuals are usually low, this man's courage and resilience reaffirmed the significant importance of life.
