Lukashenko: The possibility of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is high
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, announced that the possibility of an agreement to cease hostilities in the air between Russia and Ukraine is high. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He spoke about this after a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Lukashenko emphasized that Moscow is not against such an initiative, but the ceasefire can only be implemented if Kyiv takes concrete steps towards mutual agreement.

Russian political scientist Sergey Markov also shared his thoughts on this matter. According to him, if Kyiv meets halfway, ceases air attacks, and supports this regime, peace will be beneficial for both countries and the region.

Additionally, Lukashenko proposed to organize a direct meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Putin in Minsk. Markov stated on his Telegram channel that it is possible to draw conclusions about the timing of the end of the special military operation from Lukashenko's statements.

The proposed peace plan is as follows: a ceasefire in the air will be announced almost immediately, and a complete cessation of hostilities will be implemented within 50 days. During this period, the parties will observe how the air ceasefire is implemented and establish the general terms of peace.

The political scientist believes that Lukashenko's discussion of this plan is not in vain, as a cessation of hostilities is expected from October 1. Some analysts and media outlets emphasize that such an agreement would be beneficial not only politically but also economically.

For example, the authors of the "Bolshoy Transfer" Telegram channel state that, besides peace, financial factors also play an important role in this matter. They believe that despite the complete elimination of attacks on oil refineries, stability in the domestic fuel market has not yet been fully restored.

This is considered one of the priority tasks under the current circumstances. Additionally, attacks on the city of Sochi could damage its reputation as a resort, leading to significant financial losses during the season.

In conclusion, if a ceasefire is implemented, it will lead to a reduction in armed clashes as well as positive changes in economic stability and the tourism sector. Therefore, the possibility of reaching an agreement is of great importance.
