Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that today a 6.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the city of Sindirgi, Balikesir province. So far, there is no information about casualties or serious injuries.
Nevertheless, the earthquake waves were clearly felt in several cities of the country, including Istanbul. The tremor occurred at 21:53 Tashkent time.
