According to the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump was very positive and conducted in a confident manner. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Both presidents expressed positive opinions about it. The Kremlin representative emphasized that this dialogue allowed the two heads of state to confidently work towards finding agreement options.
Peskov described the summit as an important and productive dialogue. He also commented on the fact that the presidents did not answer journalists' questions during the press conference.
According to him, since the statements were sufficiently detailed, it was decided that there was no need to allocate separate time for questions at the final conference. Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the Russian president, also evaluated the summit as a positive and constructive dialogue.
He noted that the American leader specifically emphasized the great potential in the economic sphere between Moscow and Washington. It is worth recalling that on August 15, Trump and Putin met in Alaska, at the military base in Anchorage, and held negotiations.
No official agreement was announced at the end of the meeting. The presidents made statements to the press and left the hall without answering questions.
In conclusion, despite the absence of an official agreement, the Kremlin assessed the summit positively. It is emphasized that the dialogue between the leaders of Russia and America may open doors to new opportunities.
