Attempt to smuggle drugs from Brazil to Switzerland stopped

A 42-year-old woman flying from Brazil to Switzerland was caught at the international airport with a large quantity of drugs. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

While departing from São Paulo, the substances in her suitcase were subjected to X-ray inspection, and hidden drugs were detected. During the inspection conducted on August 2, 2025, a total of 5 kilograms of cocaine hidden in several skirts inside the suitcase was found.

Subsequently, additional investigations were carried out, and another suitcase was checked, revealing an additional 5 kilograms of cocaine. According to the investigation authorities, these drugs were planned to be illegally transported via an international route.

This incident may be related to the expansion of drug trafficking in Switzerland. Currently, the investigation against the woman is ongoing.

According to official information, the process of deporting her to her home country has begun, and the case will be sent to court.
