Zelenskiy and European leaders meet in Washington

Their main goal is to convey to US President Donald Trump that a peace agreement should not be signed without Ukraine's participation and that it must include strict security guarantees. Zelenskiy emphasizes his intention not to give up Ukrainian territory.

Western countries, meanwhile, suggest that a NATO-like defense system could be established for Ukraine. This would be an important tool in preventing future Russian attacks.

At the same time, Russia is determined to maintain control over the Donbass and Crimea regions. There are warnings that if Ukraine is forced to give up these territories, it could further weaken the country's security.

Military experts highlight the possibility that even after the war ends, Russia might rebuild its forces and prepare for a new attack. Therefore, the negotiations in Washington are crucial not only for ending the war but also for ensuring long-term security guarantees for Ukraine.

This meeting is seen as a test for future political and military stability.
