Japan's capital Tokyo has ranked first in the list of the most convenient cities for combining remote work and relaxation. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The TimeOut publication provided this information based on a report presented by the International Workplace Group (IWG). Experts highly rated Tokyo due to its developed public transportation, high-speed internet network, and high level of safety.
At the same time, Japan recently introduced a special "remote work visa" for foreign specialists. With this visa, foreigners can live in the country for up to one year and continue their work activities.
The study also took into account Tokyo's proximity to mountains, seaside beaches, and national parks. This creates an opportunity to combine big city life with outdoor relaxation.
Tokyo ranks first in the list of the most convenient cities for remote work. Following it are Rio de Janeiro, Budapest, Seoul, Barcelona, Beijing, Lisbon, Rome, Paris, and Valletta.
According to IWG founder Mark Dixon, remote work helps people maintain a balance between personal and professional life and increases labor productivity. Therefore, remote work is gaining significant importance in the modern work environment.
