A drone believed to be Russian crashed in Poland. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to local media reports, the unmanned device fell into a cornfield in the eastern part of the country. As the Polish army emphasized, the drone was not used for combat purposes and contained a small amount of explosive material.
The military is assessing this drone as a “distraction drone.” Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz commented on the incident, stating that Russia is carrying out new provocations against NATO countries.
According to the minister, Russia’s actions are connected to drone incidents in Romania, Lithuania, and Latvia, with violations occurring in the airspace of almost all NATO members, particularly Scandinavian, Baltic countries, Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria. He also stressed that such provocations are taking place at a complex time when negotiations are ongoing to cease fire or end the conflict in Ukraine.
Experts believe this incident could further escalate relations between NATO and Russia. The situation is being assessed as a serious threat to regional security.
