The Israeli army has warned approximately one million residents living in Gaza City to evacuate to the south. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The military stated that hospitals in the south are being prepared to receive patients who will be relocated. However, the Gaza Ministry of Health opposes this plan.
According to them, such an evacuation would lead to a complete collapse of the healthcare system and put the lives of the population at risk. Additionally, the UN and other international organizations have stated that they will remain in the city to continue providing assistance.
In recent days, bombardments have intensified in the eastern areas of Gaza City. Many homes have been destroyed in the Zeitun and Sabra neighborhoods.
According to civil defense data, at least 48 people have died in a single day. Hundreds of people in the city have taken to the streets in protests, calling for an end to the war and expressing opposition to forced evacuation.
One of the protesters said, “We are tired; we do not want to leave our homes.” Israel is also conducting negotiations to release citizens held hostage.
Qatar and Egypt mediators have proposed a 60-day ceasefire plan, which Hamas has agreed to. However, Israel has not yet responded officially.
The UN warns that if a ceasefire is not established immediately, more people may die in Gaza.
