Tajik woman sentenced to 8 years for drug trafficking in Russia
A Tajik woman in Russia has been sentenced to 8 years in prison for drug trafficking. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

It has been revealed that the woman was stopped at the airport and a criminal case was initiated against her. She is accused under Article 228, Part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code, which covers the unauthorized possession, transportation, production, and processing of narcotic substances, as well as Article 229.1, Part 3, which concerns the illegal transportation of plants containing narcotic substances across the Russian customs border.

After the investigation was completed, the case was sent to court, and the accused was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment. The Prosecutor General's Office of Tajikistan provided official information about this.

This incident demonstrates the strictness of Russian legislation regarding drug-related crimes. It also emphasizes the importance of border control and the effectiveness of combating lawbreakers.

This event also highlights the necessity to further strengthen cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.
