Since October 2023, at least 240 journalists have been killed in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the TASS news agency, the number of media representatives killed has reached 240 since the start of the armed conflict.
Additionally, on August 4, 2023, more than one hundred journalists from leading global media outlets signed a petition demanding unrestricted access to Gaza. The document emphasized that the independent and free entry of foreign journalists into Gaza is necessary not only to document war crimes but also to prevent the misinterpretation of the conflict.
The statement further noted that if this demand by journalists is ignored by the Israeli government and Hamas leaders, media workers may attempt to enter Gaza without official permission. This situation could potentially complicate the situation in the region further.
Moreover, the international community is closely monitoring the right and safety of journalists to work freely. The situation in the Gaza Strip requires constant serious attention.
