US representative began security talks with Israel
The complex political situation in the Middle East has prompted new diplomatic negotiations. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

US special envoy Tom Barak visited Israel on Sunday and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The discussion mainly focused on stopping strikes on Lebanon and starting new negotiations with Syria.

The two sides discussed ways to reduce tensions and establish new forms of cooperation in the security sector. During the visit, Tom Barak also held separate meetings with Secretary of State Ron Dermer, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, and Defense Minister Israel Kas.

The meetings addressed practical measures to strengthen security at the borders, prevent emergencies, and reinforce cooperation between the two countries. According to sources, the Washington administration is trying to reach new security agreements between Israel and Lebanon as well as between Israel and Syria.

From the US perspective, ensuring peace at the borders with neighbors amid ongoing clashes in Gaza is of strategic importance. The meetings emphasized the priority of clearly defining security measures, reducing the likelihood of armed conflicts, and coordinating rapid response protocols for emergencies.

Additionally, mechanisms for maintaining communication channels in an active state and acting jointly against threats were also discussed. In conclusion, the Washington envoy's visit aimed to lay the foundation for improving border security in the region, creating new security systems, and achieving major agreements.

However, the implementation of these agreements remains dependent on official negotiations and the political will of the parties involved.
