The complex political situation between Ukraine and Russia has further escalated following a recent statement by former US President Donald Trump. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Trump's words attracted significant attention from the international community and initiated a new phase of the conflict. On the social network Truth Social, Trump criticized his predecessor President Joe Biden for acting cautiously on the Ukraine issue.
According to him, Biden did not allow Ukraine to launch an attack against Russia, which made it difficult to gain an advantage on the battlefield. In his statement, Trump expressed a firm opinion that "it is impossible to win a conflict without striking the aggressor."
These remarks were interpreted in Kyiv as permission to strike Russian territory. The Kremlin strongly criticized these words and expressed dissatisfaction.
According to the INSIDER-T publication, Trump's statement may lead to a reconsideration of agreements between Russia and the US. The Russian leadership believes this situation could pose a serious threat to the Russian capital.
Due to the escalation of the situation, Russian President's aide Yuri Ushakov quickly contacted individuals around Trump and addressed US advisor Steve Whitkoff with a request to "consult with your presidents and reduce tensions." Thus, while Trump's words are seen as a new opportunity for Ukraine, they have become a new threat and source of political concern for Russia.
Experts do not rule out the possibility of the conflict intensifying further in the coming days.
