Another aviation accident occurred in France. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the Finistere department, a Morane 29 model special helicopter serving during firefighting operations lost control while flying over a water reservoir and suddenly crashed. Witnesses of the incident were worried that a major disaster might occur at the time.
However, the pilot and the firefighting service employee inside the helicopter managed to exit the helicopter in time and survived without serious injuries. According to a statement from the Finistere prefecture, the helicopter collided sharply with the water surface during the water collection process and therefore lost control and crashed.
The Morane 29 model is considered relatively new equipment in France and has been actively used across the country in the fight against fires since 2023. During the current summer season, this helicopter has flown 33 times and dropped water 154 times, serving in extinguishing fires in various regions.
Thus, it has prevented the spread of fires over hundreds of hectares.
