According to information from the PTI agency, the incident took place on Wednesday at 12:05 local time. A four-story residential building, consisting of approximately 50 apartments and located near the capital, collapsed due to various reasons.

It was reported that at least 15 people died as a result of the collapse. Police officials emphasized that the building had been vacant for a long time.

According to witnesses, most of the deceased were participating in a little girl's birthday celebration on the fourth floor. The ceremony included parents, close relatives, and the child's friends.

What was planned as a happy day unfortunately ended in tragedy. Indu Rani Jakhar, the chief officer of the Palghar district election constituency, officially confirmed on Thursday morning that the number of victims had reached 15.

Currently, local authorities and emergency services are investigating the causes of the collapse and providing assistance to the victims. This incident has caused great concern among the public and raised serious questions about the safety and supervision of residential buildings.

Psychologists and emergency specialists are working with the victims and witnesses, providing support to improve their mental state and prepare them for future changes.
