Today, on August 28, Paolo Zampolli, the United States Special Representative for Global Partnerships, visited Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

His visit, taking place close to Uzbekistan's Independence Day, is expected to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation ties between the countries. Zampolli held a productive meeting with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in education, culture, innovation, and business sectors. They also exchanged views on issues of regional and global significance.

Minister Saidov noted on his Telegram channel that the meeting was productive and emphasized that there are great opportunities to further strengthen the bridges between the countries. Additionally, he has planned meetings with the country's Olympic champions and athletes. Together with US Ambassador Jonathan Henick, he will participate in a ceremony at the newly opened "American Corner Tashkent" center to promote American values and educational opportunities.

Special Representative Zampolli is expected to participate in Uzbekistan's Independence Day celebrations. US Ambassador Jonathan Henick assessed this visit as a sign of high-level cooperation and emphasized that the United States is a reliable partner for Uzbekistan.

Thus, Paolo Zampolli's visit to Tashkent and the Independence Day celebration are hoped to bring diplomatic, cultural, and economic relations between the two countries to a new level.
