Music lessons for children continue in Gaza

They play guitar and hand drums and sing inside old and damaged buildings, as well as shelters. Music allows them to escape the harsh conditions of war and provides psychological support.

According to 15-year-old Rifan al-Qassas, when playing music, he feels like he is flying. While some students have lost their lives due to the war, teachers are trying to preserve old and new musical instruments.

At the same time, new instruments are being supplied through people displaced from other regions. Music lessons are held in various parts of Gaza, inside damaged buildings and shelters.

These activities provide children and teenagers not only with creative engagement but also with a source of psychological recovery and hope. The lessons help them to relieve stress and anxiety and encourage young people to look to the future with confidence.
