Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that the country has imposed strict restrictions on sea and air traffic with Israel. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, Israeli ships will not be allowed to enter Turkish ports. Likewise, Turkish ships are also prohibited from using Israeli ports.
Container ships carrying weapons to Israel will not be allowed into Turkish territory at all. Turkey accuses Israel of the casualties in Gaza and calls on the international community to take measures against it.
Earlier this year, Ankara also halted all trade relations with Israel. Recently, Turkish port authorities began requiring agents to confirm that ships have no connections with Israel and are not carrying dangerous cargo there.
Hakan Fidan also stated that Turkey is ready to send aid to Gaza by air. According to him, the planes are currently prepared, but permission is awaited from regional officials.
The Israeli government has not yet commented on these statements. These measures are further escalating tensions in relations between Turkey and Israel.
Turkey firmly expresses its position and is calling on the international community to put pressure on Israel.
