A woman living in China found her mother, who had been missing for more than 30 years, live on air. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This event was covered by the South China Morning Post. A 32-year-old girl named Yan works at a shoe factory in the city of Wenzhou.
Recently, while participating in a live broadcast on a short video platform, she saw a woman named Su. Su is 52 years old and is known on social media as "Looking for my second daughter," and has been trying to find her daughter since 2022.
Yan was adopted in childhood and did not know her biological family. As she grew up, she decided to search for her parents.
When she saw a woman resembling herself during the live broadcast, she commented, "I might be your daughter." Su encouraged Yan to contact the police.
With the help of the police, they got in touch, and DNA analysis confirmed that she was the mother’s daughter. In an interview, Su said that her daughter was the youngest child in the family and that due to financial difficulties, she had to give her to relatives.
Later, Yan was adopted by another family. So far, Yan has not revealed her decision about returning to her family.
According to data, as of June 2022, with the help of China’s DNA-based search system, 11,198 missing children have been reunited with their families. The story of Yan and Su once again confirmed the importance of this system in human lives.
