Iran changed visa procedures for Russian tourists

The goal is to prevent undesirable individuals from entering the country. The new restrictions were introduced following a 12-day armed conflict between Iran and Israel.

During this conflict, some high-ranking Iranian officials accused Russia of providing information to Israel. Experts believe this decision may lead to a cooling of relations between the two countries.

Additionally, the process for Russian tourists to travel to Iran will become more complicated than before. Iranian officials consider the new procedure necessary measures to ensure national security and eliminate external threats.
