Miryana Spolyarich, the head of humanitarian affairs, announced that mass evacuation in Gaza city cannot be carried out safely and orderly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As Israel attempts to take full control of the territory, this poses a great danger to the population. The evacuation process causes a large influx of people to other areas within Gaza, but food, shelter, and medical aid are insufficient.
Many people cannot move due to hunger, illness, or injury. International humanitarian law requires providing safe shelter, food, and protection for the evacuated population.
Under the current conditions, these requirements are not being met, making evacuation practically impossible. The Gaza conflict began on October 7, 2023, with a Hamas attack, resulting in over 63,000 deaths in the area, mostly civilians.
This situation poses a great threat to the lives of the population and urgent measures by the international community are necessary. There is no possibility to relocate people until conditions improve to carry out the evacuation.
Therefore, cooperation with international organizations in providing humanitarian aid and protecting the population is of great importance.
