On the morning of September 1, a white SUV crashed into the consulate's iron gate. Local media, including the ABC television channel, reported on this event.

According to information, the incident happened around 8:00 AM local time. The New South Wales police received a report about a suspicious vehicle near the consulate.

When the police arrived to investigate the incident, they tried to talk to the 39-year-old driver. At that moment, the driver started the car and attempted to enter the consulate grounds.

However, the vehicle stopped after crashing into the iron gate. The driver was arrested and taken to the police station regarding the incident.

The car that crashed into the consulate gate was removed from the area with the help of a tow truck. Currently, an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Officials have announced that the Australian Federal Police have also been involved in the investigation. The Russian side has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.

Experts are conducting inquiries into the reasons behind the driver's actions and the possible penalties that may be applied. Thus, this unusual incident in front of the Russian consulate in Sydney has attracted the attention of international media and the public.
