United States President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that a trilateral meeting between Russia, Ukraine, and the USA will be held in the near future. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
However, he openly stated that he does not believe in a bilateral summit between Kyiv and Moscow. According to Trump, it is still unclear whether the planned meeting will take place at the level of heads of state or not.
He compared the war between Russia and Ukraine to prolonged fights among children on the playground. The president emphasized that over time, the parties will try to achieve peace, but this process is taking a long time and thousands of people are dying.
In an interview given in the Oval Office, the White House chief reiterated that Washington will not send its troops to Ukraine. In his opinion, security guarantees should mainly be the responsibility of European countries, while the USA should limit itself to providing assistance and support.
Trump's statements reflect the complexity of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in global politics and the USA's position regarding this conflict.
