From September 1, 2025, submitting an electronic declaration will be mandatory when entering Latvia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by the Kursiv publication. According to the new rules, third-country nationals traveling to Latvia, including citizens of Uzbekistan, who do not have a national visa or residence permit, must fill out an electronic declaration on the eta.gov.lv website at least 48 hours before the trip.
This declaration will be sent by email as a confirmation letter and must be presented at the border. The new regulation does not apply to citizens of the EU, NATO, EEA, OECD, Switzerland, and Brazil.
They are exempt from submitting the declaration. If the new rules are not followed, entry to Latvia may be denied.
Additionally, there is a possibility of a fine of up to 2000 euros and restrictions on future trips. To fill out the electronic declaration, visit eta.gov.lv and enter the required information.
Once the declaration is confirmed, a confirmation letter will be received by email and shown at the border. These new rules are introduced to make travel more orderly and safe.
It is necessary to take these requirements into account when preparing for trips.
