New migration system launched in Moscow and the region
Starting from September 1, a new and modern pilot project for the migration registration of foreign citizens was launched in Moscow city and Moscow region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The Moscow Multifunctional Migration Center (MMC) officially announced this innovation. Within the framework of this pilot project, the use of the “Amina” mobile application is mandatory for citizens of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Ukraine.

This application allows foreign citizens to remotely inform the internal affairs authorities about their place of residence and any changes to it. During the registration process, each foreign citizen is required to install the “Amina” application on their personal mobile phone.

Access to the application is carried out using a foreign citizenship card; if the card is not available, authorization can also be done using passport data. The application automatically transmits geolocation data to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

If a citizen does not interact with the system for three working days, they are automatically removed from the migration center’s registry. Additionally, individuals who violate monitoring rules may be included in the “Registry of Persons under Surveillance.”

According to MMC data, this pilot project is being introduced on a trial basis as an alternative to the current migration registration procedure. This modern system is designed to simplify the accounting of foreign labor migrants, monitor their legal status, and ensure effective remote monitoring.

This innovation serves to simplify and regulate migration processes.
