British Defense Secretary John Healey announced during his visit to Kyiv that military aid is being provided to Ukraine using frozen Russian assets. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On September 3, he emphasized that funds seized from the Russian Federation, amounting to over 1 billion pounds sterling, have been spent on purchasing weapons and other military equipment. With these funds, hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, hundreds of anti-aircraft missile systems, and spare parts were supplied to Ukraine.
Additionally, new contracts have been established for the maintenance and repair of military equipment and vehicles. It was noted that in the last 50 days, Ukraine has received 4.7 million rounds of ammunition, 60 thousand artillery shells, rockets and rocket systems, over 2,500 drones, more than 200 electronic warfare devices, 100 light weapons, 30 special vehicles, and additional air defense equipment from Great Britain.
This assistance significantly contributes to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. The British government has expressed its intention to continue this support.
