During his visit to Kyiv, UK Defence Secretary John Healey announced military aid to Ukraine using frozen Russian assets. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On September 3, the British minister emphasized that funds confiscated from the Russian Federation, exceeding 1 billion pounds sterling, have been spent on purchasing weapons and other military assistance. With these funds, Ukraine was able to acquire hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, hundreds of anti-aircraft missile systems, and spare parts for weapons.
Additionally, new contracts were signed for the maintenance and repair of equipment and military vehicles. In the last 50 days, Ukraine received 4.7 million rounds of ammunition, 60 thousand artillery shells, missiles and missile systems, over 2,500 drones, more than 200 electronic warfare systems, over 100 light weapons, 30 military vehicles, and additional air defense equipment from the United Kingdom.
These aids significantly contribute to enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities. According to information from the UK government website, these actions are aimed at strengthening military cooperation between the countries and ensuring Ukraine's security.
