US President Donald Trump announced his intention to communicate with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At a press conference held at the White House on September 5, Trump expressed his readiness in this regard and emphasized that there had been effective conversations before. At the same time, Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated at the Kremlin that there is currently no definite plan to organize a telephone conversation between the two heads of state.
He noted that if necessary, such a conversation could be arranged on short notice. Earlier, Trump had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and representatives of the "volunteer coalition."
This conversation took place during the Ukrainian leader’s visit to Paris and discussed security guarantees for Kyiv. According to the Reuters news agency, during the one-hour conversation, Trump called on European leaders to stop purchasing Russian oil.
He also spoke about China providing financial support to Russia’s military actions in Ukraine and emphasized the need to exert economic pressure on Beijing. These statements are said to potentially lead to new confrontations and initiatives in the global political arena.
This situation can be regarded as the beginning of a new era in international relations.
