Within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an important statement. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visits Moscow, the Russian side will fully guarantee his security. According to Putin, the Ukrainian leadership has expressed a desire to hold a meeting, and Russia is aware of this proposal.
He invited Zelensky to Moscow, emphasizing that security and working conditions would be fully ensured. Additionally, the Russian president considered proposals to hold the meeting in other countries excessive and meaningless.
He noted that the best place for dialogue is the Russian capital, Moscow. While expressing openness to dialogue, Putin also said that he currently does not see much meaning in this meeting.
In his opinion, even if there is political will, reaching an agreement on key issues with Ukraine will not be easy. It is worth recalling that Putin had previously invited Zelensky to hold negotiations in Moscow.
However, although the Ukrainian president expressed readiness for such a meeting, he stated that it should not be held only in Moscow. This situation reflects the complexity of the dialogue between the two sides.
