Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Western countries in the city of Vladivostok. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He emphasized that if foreign soldiers are sent to Ukrainian territory, they will become targets to be destroyed by Russia. Putin also expressed his readiness to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but noted that this meeting can only take place in Moscow.
Western countries, however, did not take Putin's proposal seriously. Several factors influence Putin's firm stance.
Russia believes it holds the initiative on the front lines. At the same time, Putin is demonstrating in meetings with the leaders of China and other countries that Russia is not isolated.
Despite threats from U.S. President Donald Trump, he has not taken decisive measures in practice, which has given Moscow additional confidence. Putin used the phrase "light at the end of the tunnel," but experts emphasize that conflicts between Russia and the West will continue and the likelihood of reaching an agreement in the near future is very low.
Thus, the current situation is complex and much work remains to be done to achieve peace between the parties.
