
The new creative work of the famous musician and artist Viktor Soy has been put up for sale. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the auction titled “Russian Art. 18th–21st Centuries.
Painting, Graphics, Sculpture,” the artist’s drawing on cardboard was presented as a lot. According to First Names auction data, the starting price of the painting was set at 1.5 million rubles.
It is expected that by the end of the sale, the amount could reach from 2.5 million to 6 million rubles. The artwork depicts a red square-shaped person with a yellow rocket flying out of their mouth.
This drawing was created in the 1980s using mixed media and was not given a specific title. Initially, it was kept in the collection of photographer Sergey Borisov.
According to the auction house’s website, Viktor Soy’s versatile talent has stood the test of time and has not lost its relevance. His song “Changes” became an anthem of the entire era.
He created freely and boldly in art, deeply sensing the spirit of the times through his works and was not afraid to imagine the future. Additionally, in 2024, another drawing by the artist was put up for sale at the Vladey auction and was purchased for 8 million rubles.
That lot sold for five times the expected price at the time, setting a record. Viktor Soy’s work has secured its place in the art world, and his creations are eagerly awaited.
