
According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, measures against crimes related to illegal migrants in the country are being further strengthened. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Additionally, control over employers who hire migrants has been tightened. The number of unscheduled inspections conducted on legal entities and individual entrepreneurs has significantly increased.
In particular, inspections increased by 14.6 percent, with 6,367 cases recorded. As a result, 19,839 violations were identified.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the first half of 2025, 587.8 thousand migration-related violations were detected. This figure is 17 percent higher compared to last year.
Cases of illegal residence increased by 28 percent, and labor market employment violations rose by 52 percent. At the same time, the figures for registration and temporary registration have significantly decreased.
For example, permits issued during the half-year decreased by 16.6 thousand, falling by 31 percent. Residence permits issued also decreased by 80.1 thousand, marking a 32 percent decline.
Furthermore, this year, a decision was made to revoke Russian citizenship from 791 individuals. The number of notifications regarding employment of foreigners has also increased.
Thus, the Russian government is further tightening its migration policies. These measures are aimed at ensuring internal security and the rule of law in the country.
