An unusual event took place at Moscow's Patriarch's Pond. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A man in a swan costume was paddling on a SUP board and was detained by the police. This was reported by the “Podyom” publication.
The participant of the protest appeared wearing a mask, a winged swan costume, and a T-shirt with the inscription “Pool for swans, not for people.” During the demonstration, he lost his balance and fell into the water.
The police met him on the shore, drew up a protocol for petty hooliganism, and kept him in the station for one night. He now faces a fine of up to 1000 rubles or up to 15 days of imprisonment.
The court hearing will take place on September 8. The initiator of the protest introduced himself as the PointBreak company, a manufacturer of SUP boards.
A company representative stated that the action was organized to protect water birds. According to him, the freedom of swans at Patriarch's Pond is restricted, and they are constantly disturbed by people walking nearby.
For this reason, the protest was organized as a symbol of support for swan rights.
