A 52-year-old man riding a bicycle was first hit by a horse, then a bull, and finally by a car. The incident happened during the "abrivado" ceremony.
At this event, bulls run through the city streets in the southern regions, followed by horse riders. Special barriers are installed to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.
When rescuers arrived at the scene, the man was unconscious and lying with severe injuries. Despite emergency medical assistance, it was not possible to save his life.
According to the Gar gendarmerie, the man was knocked down first by the horse, then by the bull, and afterwards, while lying on the ground, was run over by a passing car. This tragedy caused great concern and sorrow among the public.
Although the traditional festival is usually a source of joy, this time the event ended in disaster. Authorities announced that an official investigation has been initiated by the prosecutor's office regarding the incident.
