US President Donald Trump commented on the incident that occurred on the night of September 10. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He emphasized that the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones is a serious issue. Trump wrote on his social media page, “Russian drones violated Polish airspace?
We have arrived!” On September 10, the Polish Armed Forces operational command announced that several drones entering the country’s territory were destroyed.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that these drones belong to Russia. According to him, the military was forced to shoot down the unmanned devices that posed a threat.
For this reason, NATO invoked Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty. This article allows member states to consult together when their territorial integrity, political independence, or security is threatened.
Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on the incident. According to him, the Kremlin has not yet received any official request from Polish authorities regarding the situation with the drones.
This situation requires special attention against the backdrop of increased political tension. The relationship between Poland and NATO remains of significant importance in dialogue with Russia.
