Artificial intelligence introduced in public procurement in Albania
There has been an important development in the public procurement system in Albania. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The government of the country has introduced a special model called “Diella” based on artificial intelligence to automate public procurement and increase its efficiency. This system was recognized for the first time at the Prime Minister's office as a digital member who is not physically present but actively participates in the decision-making process.

Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized in his statement that the new artificial intelligence system serves to create a corruption-free environment in the public procurement process. From now on, decisions regarding public tenders and contracts will be automatically reviewed and approved by the “Diella” model.

This helps to strengthen transparency. Previously, the “Diella” model operated within the framework of the “e-Albania” digital platform, providing the public with convenient access to government services.

Now, it has been fully integrated into the public administration process, marking a new stage in the use of digital technologies in Albania. According to experts, management with the help of artificial intelligence significantly reduces the risk of corruption and decreases the influence of human factors in tender and procurement processes.

Additionally, the “Diella” system can play an important role in increasing the efficiency and speed of government decisions and saving public resources. The government's initiative has attracted significant attention not only in Albania but also within the European community.

Researchers and economists believe that digital prime minister models can be widely used in the future in other countries to improve public procurement and management processes.
