US President Donald Trump commented on the entry of Russian unmanned drones into Polish airspace. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, this situation may have occurred as a possible accidental mistake, but he emphasized that he is dissatisfied with this situation. According to Bloomberg agency, on September 12, during a conversation with journalists at the White House, Trump said: "It is not unlikely that this was a mistake.
However, I am not satisfied with such a situation and I hope this issue will be resolved soon." Additionally, Trump sharply criticized Russia for this action.
He said: "I do not approve of this and I do not agree with it." For reference, on the night of September 10, while Russia was carrying out large-scale air strikes on Ukraine, at least 19 drones crossed the Polish border.
Not only the Polish Air Force but also fighter jets from other NATO countries were involved against these drones. Drone debris damaged a residential building in the village of Viriki, located near the Belarus and Ukraine border, but there have been no reports of casualties.
Political debates around this incident are intensifying, and it is emphasized that this situation may lead to increased tensions in relations between NATO and Russia. Thus, the situation has become an issue requiring serious attention on the international stage.
