An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred near Kamchatka

The highest risk is expected in the areas of Mayachny Cape and Khalakhtirsky Beach. Residents are advised not to approach the seashore, to temporarily move away from coastal areas, and to stay at a safe distance.

According to experts, the earthquake was clearly felt in several settlements in the Kamchatka region. In some parts of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Vilyuchinsky city districts, the tremors reached a magnitude of six.
