Due to growing concerns related to Russia in Poland, many citizens are actively participating in voluntary military training. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
More than 20,000 people have taken part in these trainings so far this year, and by the end of the year, this number is expected to reach 40,000. The government is significantly increasing defense spending, allocating 4.7 percent of the gross domestic product to the army.
Currently, the Polish army consists of 216,000 personnel and is the third largest force within NATO after the United States and Turkey. In recent years, military units and defense facilities have been strengthened in the country's eastern regions.
According to experts, Poles are very sensitive to the threat from Russia based on historical experience. Therefore, the number of volunteers is increasing, and the government is taking necessary measures to strengthen defense.
This situation serves to further enhance the country's defense.
