US President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social social network that new and strict sanctions would be imposed against Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He stated that such restrictions can only be implemented with the consent of all NATO member states. Additionally, Trump emphasized the necessity of completely ceasing the purchase of Russian oil.
According to the president, purchasing oil from Russia in the current situation weakens NATO's position in resolving the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. For this reason, he called on all member states to take a firm stance on this matter.
Furthermore, Trump said that imposing high tariffs on products coming from China could be an important factor in ending the war quickly. According to him, if NATO collectively imposes tariffs ranging from 50 to 100 percent on Chinese goods, it will play a decisive role in stopping the war.
Trump also stressed that if such measures are taken, the war will end soon and thousands of lives will be saved. Otherwise, according to him, the United States will waste time, energy, and funds.
The president also announced that the tariffs could be completely lifted once the conflict between Russia and Ukraine ends. Trump's statement has attracted wide interest internationally, and his ideas are actively being discussed among the public.
