Shahnaz, the wife of Abdul Vakeel from Shesh Pol village, was in critical condition during her pregnancy. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
She tried to go to the nearest medical facility, but the clinic was closed. On the way, Shahnaz gave birth, but both she and the baby died within a few hours.
This clinic provided essential medical care for women, staffed with experienced doctors and necessary medicines. However, due to the United States stopping aid to Afghanistan, hundreds of clinics ceased operations.
As a result, the number of patients in hospitals increased, but there is a shortage of space and medicines. Maternal and infant mortality has risen at the central hospital in Faizabad.
Experts emphasize that the closure of clinics is putting the lives of women and children at risk. Many families in Shesh Pol and other villages are facing similar problems.
This situation has arisen due to the lack of medical services and the slowdown in providing assistance. Urgent measures are needed to protect the health of women and children in the country.
