Israel has launched a ground assault on Gaza
On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Israel began the main phase of its ground assault against Gaza City. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The country's Ministry of Defense announced this. The Israeli army (IDF) troops are moving towards the city center.

It is said that there are approximately three thousand Hamas fighters in the city area. According to Defense Minister Israel Katz, the goal of the assault is to eliminate Hamas, destroy the terrorist infrastructure, and create conditions to free the hostages.

According to Gaza officials, at least forty people were killed in the initial hours of the assault due to airstrikes, most of whom are civilians. Tanks have entered residential areas.

The Israeli government once again called on citizens in the area to leave for their safety. A special commission of the United Nations today accused Israel of committing massacre and inciting violence in Gaza.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, three more people died from starvation in the last 24 hours, including one child. The total number of deaths due to starvation has reached 428.

This situation indicates a deepening humanitarian crisis in the region.
