One of China's major zoos has made a new decision. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, visitors are prohibited from showing TikTok or other videos to the chimpanzee using mobile phones. This was reported by the South China Morning Post.
According to information, a chimpanzee named Din-din living in the zoo used to watch various videos from visitors' mobile phones. However, the administration emphasized that to protect the animal's eye health, it must be shielded from looking at screens too much.
Experts believe that if a chimpanzee looks at a screen for a long time like a human, it can harm its eye health. For this reason, the zoo administration has established a special ban and asks visitors not to show videos to the chimpanzee.
The decision does not specify penalties, meaning if someone shows a video, no official fine or other punishment will be applied. However, zoo staff constantly remind and warn visitors that Din-din's health is the top priority.
