A girl died as a result of a crocodile attack in Rajasthan
A tragic incident that occurred in the Indian state of Rajasthan has sparked widespread discussions on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the information, a 15-year-old girl named Shivani Keva was attacked by a crocodile while heading to the Parvati River to fetch water. According to the police report, the animal bit the girl’s hand firmly and dragged her into the water.
Local residents who witnessed the incident immediately rushed to help and tried to drive the crocodile away using boats, but all efforts were unsuccessful. Police and rescue services were involved at the scene.
After several hours of searching without results, the search was suspended near evening. The next day, villagers found Shivani’s body on the surface of the river.
The deceased’s body was sent for forensic examination. According to the expert results, the girl died from drowning; there were no serious injuries on her body, but crocodile bite marks were found on her hands.
The police handed over the body to the relatives. Rivers and water bodies in Rajasthan are the main sources of water for the population, which is why such incidents occur from time to time.
Local scientists emphasize that there are many crocodiles in the area and the associated risks are high. Recently, a 200-million-year-old phytosaur fossil was discovered in the Jaisalmer district, showcasing the ancient nature of the region.
Experts advise the population to increase caution when approaching water sources and to strictly follow safety rules, as aquatic predators and other natural hazards can pose serious threats to human life.
