
A 13-year-old teenager in Russia's Voronezh region died as a result of cardiac arrest during sambo training. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Information about this incident was announced in the official Telegram statement of the Voronezh Regional Health Ministry. According to the data, on September 17, the teenager's condition suddenly worsened at the "Severnaya arena" sports complex in the Ostrogozhsk district.
Coaches and participants immediately called emergency medical services. The boy had been regularly training in this sports club for over two years and had an official medical clearance.
Furthermore, he refrained from performing heavy physical exercises when feeling unwell. The incident occurred at approximately 17:40.
After the heart stopped functioning, a highly qualified resuscitation doctor and department head with 30 years of experience personally began resuscitation efforts. Standard medical procedures such as artificial respiration, cardiac massage, and defibrillation were applied to the teenager.
Despite all measures lasting nearly an hour, the fight for life was unsuccessful at 18:10. This event caused great distress for the parents and relatives.
In the official statement from the Voronezh Regional Health Ministry, the medical institution's leadership expressed deep condolences to the deceased's family members. Additionally, an investigation was initiated in cooperation with law enforcement agencies regarding the incident.
The institution announced its readiness to provide all necessary documents and information. This event once again reminds of the necessity for constant monitoring of safety and health during sports training.
