According to the "Magen David Adom" emergency service, the attacker was armed with a pistol and a knife. One of the victims was approximately 20 years old, and the other was a man over 60 years old.
Despite receiving first medical aid at the scene, they died from severe injuries. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the incident as a crime and emphasized that it could negatively affect the process of delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
They also called on the international community to strongly condemn such attacks. Jordanian officials stated that such actions not only cause untimely deaths but also seriously hinder the delivery of humanitarian assistance.
The Israeli side, following the incident, increased security measures and tightened inspections at the Allenby crossing point. The military noted the necessity of promptly addressing such incidents and ensuring border security.
It is known that tensions between Palestine and Israel are escalating. At a time when humanitarian aid is urgently needed for the population in the Gaza Strip, security-related issues are complicating the transportation process.
