A historic event took place in the political arena of Albania. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
After Diella, the first virtual minister created based on artificial intelligence, spoke in the country's parliament, the meeting descended into disorder. The Albanian Times reported on this.
According to information, on September 18, the government program was presented in parliament and the issue of confidence in the new cabinet was discussed. The session lasted shorter than expected, taking only 24 minutes.
82 socialist deputies approved the cabinet composition proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama. After that, Speaker Niko Peleshi announced the meeting closed.
However, the AI minister Diella's appearance on stage was met with strong opposition from the opposition. Deputies tried to disrupt the meeting by banging on tables.
They even threw Constitution books and water bottles they had in their hands at the prime minister and government members. Videos circulating on social media showed how the situation escalated.
Foreign diplomats also sat in the hall and followed the event through earpieces, but this did not help stop the disorder. A short break did not ease the situation either.
In her speech, Diella emphasized that her appointment was not against the Constitution and asked deputies not to judge prematurely. She referred to constitutional rules in her statement and spoke about her contribution to the country's development.
It should be recalled that on September 12, the Albanian government made a historic decision by appointing a model operating on artificial intelligence as the minister responsible for public procurement. This event marks a new stage in Albania's political life.
However, the strong opposition raises significant questions about continuing this experiment.
